Rotate or revoke a key

Replace a leaked or old key safely.

  • Rotate (on the key's card): issues a new key with the same name, environment and permissions, and revokes the old key in the same step. Update your server right away.
  • Revoke: the key stops working on the next request. It can't be undone.

NoteIf you need zero downtime, create a second key first, deploy it, then revoke the old one.
