Terms of Service
Draft. This document has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer and may change before Gasket is generally available.
Last updated: October 14, 2026.
The service
Gasket reads failed-payment data from your Stripe account using a read-only key you provide, reports lost and recovered revenue, and, only if you enable it, emails your customers about failed payments with a link to pay on Stripe.
Your responsibilities
- You must be authorized to connect the Stripe account and to contact the customers in it about their payments.
- You are responsible for the sender identity, reply-to address and sending domain you configure, and for complying with laws that apply to your communications with your customers.
- You approve emails in shadow mode, and you choose whether to enable auto-send.
Our responsibilities
- Gasket uses read-only access and never moves money in your Stripe account.
- Gasket only sends emails you've approved, or that auto-send schedules after you've enabled it, and stops when you pause sending.
- Recovery attribution follows the method published on the How it works page.
Fees
The scan is free. Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, through HandyPay. You can cancel anytime; access continues until the end of the paid period. Fees aren't refunded for partial periods except where required by law.
No guarantee of recovery
Recovery depends on your customers. Gasket doesn't guarantee any amount will be recovered.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Gasket's total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Gasket isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses.
Termination
You can disconnect Stripe and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend accounts that misuse the service, for example by emailing people who aren't customers.
