Doesn't Stripe already do this?
Partly. Stripe retries failed charges and can send its own emails, and it recovers a meaningful share on its own. Gasket shows you exactly how much, then works on what's left. It never takes credit for what Stripe recovered.
What access does Gasket need?
A Stripe restricted key with read permission on Customers, Invoices, Subscriptions, Charges, PaymentIntents and Events. Gasket tests the key and refuses it if it can write anything.
Will Gasket email my customers without asking?
No. Every account starts read-only. In shadow mode you approve each email. Auto-send only becomes available after you've approved five, and you can stop all sending with one switch.
Where do customers enter card details?
On Stripe. Every email links to the invoice's Stripe-hosted payment page. Gasket never sees card numbers.
How does Gasket decide what it recovered?
Only invoices paid within 7 days after a Gasket email, where the customer acted (switched card, or paid before Stripe's next scheduled retry). Everything else is Stripe's or unknown.
What does it cost?
The scan is free. Recovery is $24.99, $59 or $99 a month depending on your MRR, billed through HandyPay. Cancel anytime; you keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
What happens if I disconnect Stripe?
Gasket stops reading your account immediately, cancels anything queued, and deletes every invoice, email and event it stored from Stripe. Your Gasket account and billing stay until you delete them too.
Who handles Gasket's billing?
HandyPay processes Gasket's own subscription. Manage billing opens HandyPay's hosted billing page; Gasket never sees your card.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes, from Billing in two clicks. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for, and the scan and dashboard stay free afterwards.
Whose name is on the recovery emails?
Yours. Emails are written in your business's name and link to Stripe's payment page. They're sent from Gasket's verified sending address, and point customers to your own contact email for questions.
