Give an agent a tool

Let the agent look things up or take actions through your API.

  • Agent → Tools → Add a tool.
  • Name it the way the model should call it (lookup_order) and describe when to use it.
  • Set service and operation (orders, lookup); your policy decides on orders.lookup.
  • Enter your HTTPS endpoint and the input JSON Schema.
  • Make sure the agent's policy allows orders.lookup, or every call is denied.

Gasket POSTs { tool, input, run_id, action_id } to your endpoint, signed with the agent's secret. Return JSON or text; the model sees it.
